| man, i don't believe i have ever been more glad that it was the
weekend. i am just so burned out on work right now that i could really
use a few days of rest and relaxation. i don't work monday or tuesday
either which is exciting and my senior pictures are on friday and
saturday of next week. i believe that i get like 4 outfit changes but i
have no clue as to what i will be wearing yet. yesterday i went to
work, but only stayed until noon because we are ahead of schedule for
the store opening so they had nothing left for us to do and went home
and finished the book i was reading "girls on film." i really liked it.
however, i would suggest that you read the first book in the series
"the a-list" before reading "girls on film" because otherwise you will
be totally lost with the characters and whatnot. after i finished the
book my mom and i went to my aunts house because we have to walk their
dogs daily while her and my uncle are in texas. i love their puppies
though, they are absolutely adorable and since my parentals refuse to
purchase me a doggy of my very own, it's the next best thing. this
weekend is tax-free weekend, so my madre, my brother, and i are going
shopping for back to school clothes. my has this summer flown by or
what? it should be fun though, i really want to go to the galleria
since i hear that the new urban outfitters has finally opened. however,
i doubt it can measure up to the one in san fransisco. that one was
crazy amazing. well, i must go and brush my hair now and get ready, if
anyone is up for doing anything tonight, call my cellular!

| i do not have to work tomorrow or saturday now. this is definetly the
highlight of my week. haha. although, we are coming along pretty fast
with the store and they think that we'll open a week ahead oft he
schedule soft opening date, so i am pretty excited. no more lugging
boxes and cutting my fingers off with the freaking box cutter. lol.
after work i went and picked up my mom from work since her car is in
the shop after the 2 accidents she's been in within the last 3 weeks.
don't you all feel safe knowing that she is the one who taught me how
to drive? i know i do. on the way home my aunt called on my cell phone
and asked if i wanted to go to coffee which i was excited about since i
hadn't seen them in awhile and they are leaving for texas tomorrow. we
went to st. charles coffee house and i got a sugar-free carmel
machiatto with skim milk. it sounds pretty bad but it was actually
amazing. i must go get one again soon. after my coffee outing i went
home, finished reading the book i had started on a few days ago, "south
beach", and called kerry to see what she was up to tonight. we decided
we should have a much needed sleepover since we both weren't working
tomorrow. we went and got movies and are now watching guess who. i am
not really paying too much attention but kerry keeps on laughing so it
must be pretty funny. tomorrow we are going up to school to get our
yearbooks and they better be there or else schott will hear it from me!
haha. well, maybe i will try to watch this movie now...i did pay the
hard earned $3.99 for it after all.

| this weekend has been exhausting, but fun at the same time. my family
and i left on thursday right after i got off work to head to west
lafayette, indiana where i would be visiting purdue the following
morning. when we finally made it to purdue the next day i was in awe
and overwhelemed at the same time. it's such a huge school, like
enrollment 38,000+, but i loved it. the campus is gorgeous and they
have a reputation for giving out a great education and opportunities
for the future. my tour guide was actually really informative this time
and she did know alot about the campus/student life. this visit
basically confirmed my decision about wanting to apply there. i would
love to attend purdue, but i am still up in the air with my major. i
always thought it was so easy. i haveplanned on majoring in psychology
forever, but now i am not too sure. journalism and communications has
always interested me as well. it's just scary to me all around that
next year i will be picking what i want to do with my entire life. talk
about pressure huh? after purdue we headed to indianapolis where i
would be visitng butler university the next day. when we got there we
figured we had nothing to do for the rest of the day so why not go the
zoo/botanical gardens? haha. it was amazingly fun though. their zoo is
crazy awesome. it's huge and they even had seahorses. i had never seen
them before but they were well worth the wait let me tell you. lol.
amazing little creatures. the next morning i woke up at 7 to get ready
for my butler visit. when i got there things were a little chaotic
because it was an official visit day for next years freshmen so there
were a ton of other kids there. they even lost my name tag and
registration packet, so i had to create a makeshift name tag. lol.
after a welcome lecture from the head admissions guy, we finally got to
get our tour of the campus and i must say, i got the hottest tour guide
ever. his name was greg and he was a frat boy business major. lol. but
don't get me wrong, he gave a good tour as well. butler's campus was
nice as well, very spread out and well-mantained, but obviously, it was
a lot smaller than purdue's. after all, butler and purdue are about as
different as you can get. purdue is a public university with an
enrollment of over 38,000, whereas butler has an enrollment of around
3,800. purdue is also located in a little town/county area and butler
is in affluent suburbs right outside of indianapolis. it's weird how
different they are now that i think about it because i really liked
them both. i guess i just have to decided which feel i liked better.
today i woke up around 9 and my mom and i went to the $2 show to see
the perfect man. my mom really liked it and i enjoyed seeing it again.
call me a sucker, but i love hilary duff movies. they are cute and you
don't really have to think while watching them. right now i am watching
this new show called "beach girls" on lifetime. it's pretty cute thus
far. however, the plot reminds me of everwood, but with a summerland
feel. haha. i also finished the book i was reading today. it was called
"the year of the secret assignments." i randomly saw it at the borders
when we were in hawaii at the borders in maui and i had to get it. it
was really cute so i'd suggest reading it if you have nothing to do or
basically no life like me. lol. tomorrow is registration for senior
year, handing out yearbooks, new episode of wildfire, and best of all
NO WORK! i think tomorrow definetly looks promising...

| i am whoa exhausted right now. today work was quite strenuous as usual;
unloading more heavy boxes, stalking shelves that seemed to neverend,
and hot breakroom gossip of blow jobs, strip clubs, and gambling. what
a wholesome, family place to take your children shopping at. hah. i
have to work tomorrow too unfortunately, although i am beginning to get
used to it and all the people i work with are really cool. i have
friday and saturday off for college visits so i am pretty excited about
that. it's hard to believe that i will be getting ready to leave for
college this time next year. it seems like i should still be in
elementary school in all honesty. i don't feel grown up at all and even
though i am not the biggest fan of high school, i can already tell that
i am definetly going to miss it. who doesn't love 6:30 am stuco
meetings and 4 hours a night of homework? lol. i guess the biggest
shocker to me is just that after this year, i will pretty much be in
charge of my own life and have more independence than i have ever had
before and quite honestly, that's scary. i know it will be good for me
to get away though and experience new things and people considering all
my friends almost i have known for my entire life. but i really
wouldn't have it any other way. it's a safety and comfort. anyways,
moving on from the heavy stuff, after work i picked kerry up after her
shift at target and we "hung out" tonight. however, it basically
consisted of her sitting on my computer and me watching the tube, but
you get the idea. right now i am watching the new season of laguna
beach and i must say that i am not too fond of kristin. she's a bit of
a b with an itch on the end. haha. i wish i lived in laguna beach
though. i mean, come on, it's like a week before christmas and they are
laying out side in their bikinis tanning. could it get any better?
well, i should probably get some sleep since i have another long day of
work tomorrow. i cannot wait.
also, a side note: never, ever, listen to this fellow named "webbie"
they have been playing him nonstop on mtv tonight and i am about to rip
my ears off. thank you.
